There are a lot of 55-inch smart TVs available manufactured by big brands like LG, Sony, Samsung, etc. Then the questions arise why one would buy the Mi TV, Kodak TV or VU TV. The answer is pretty simple, Price. These smart TVs offer all the features and quality at a way lower price.

As price is playing a significant role here, so let me tell you the cost of all the three smart TVs we are comparing here. The Xiaomi MI TV 4 55-inch is the cheapest of all will cost you around Rs 40000. Then comes the Kodak 55-inch smart TV that requires just a little more, so the price is not a big deal here. But the third one, which is the VU 55-inch smart TV will cost you around Rs 55000.

If I have to tell you my favorite smart TV among all three her, I would say Xiaomi MI TV 4 is the one. So let me tell you why I think that MI TV 4 is the best value for money. The most powerful regarding processing, multitasking and gaming is the VU 55-inch smart TV. It is powered by Amlogic quad-core processor coupled with 2.5 GB of RAM. For installing apps and games, you get 16 GB inbuilt storage capacity.

The least powerful one is the Kodak smart TV. You will get only 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB internal storage capacity. This smart TV is powered by 1.4 dual-core Cortex A-53 CPU coupled with Mali T-720 GPU. The processor is ok, but RAM could have been more considering the competition in the market.

The Xiaomi Smart TV 4 55-inch smart TV being the cheapest of all three still delivers the best in class performance. It is equipped with Amlogic Cortex A53 Quad-core 1.8 GHz processor with Mali T-830 MP2 GPU. Its 2 GB RAM is enough to handle the multitasking and games. But sadly, the storage capacity is 8 GB which could have been more.

All the three smart TVs have the same screen size of 55-inch with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. You can enjoy 4K video on all three. But not all three have the same picture quality. While the Kodak smart TV and Xiaomi have almost same quality, The VU smart TV is slightly better regarding colors and contrast.

To have an excellent overall entertainment, we can’t forget the audio part. No doubt the VU smart TV speakers are louder and brighter than the MI TV 4 and Kodak smart TV. Xiaomi offers two stereo speakers with 8 watts each. In case of the Kodak 55-inch Smart TV, you get two stereo speakers with 10 watt RMS power output in each. Here, VU wins the battle by offering 2 x 12-watt speakers.

Kodak TV and VU TV have a 3.5 mm headphone jack in case you don’t want to disturb others. We don’t know why Xiaomi decided not to offer the headphone jack in MI TV 4 55-inch smart TV. All three comes with Bluetooth for connecting various Bluetooth powered accessories and WiFi for internet connectivity.

Moving to the operating system, The Kodak TV runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS. With inbuilt Aptoide App Store, you can download apps and games. The Xiaomi MI TV 4 runs on Android-based PatchWall OS which is specially designed keeping Indians in mind. The VU smart TVs runs in Android Nougat 7.0 OS, so you get a whole lot of exposure to the play store apps and games with the VU smart TV.

All the smart TV are compatible with the popular online streaming services, and more options would be added in future. Though The VU Smart TV right now is compatible with most of the services. But rest two are also catching up. It seems that VU is a better option here among all three. But TV is not an entertainment device. It also adds beauty to your room. That’s where the Xiaomi beats the rest two,

Xiaomi MI TV 4 is the world’s thinnest smart TV with just 4.9 mm thickness at the minimum. Moreover, the ultra-thin bezels add more beauty to the product. From no angle, it looks like a budget TV. MI TV 4 looks like a premium smart TV.

Though there are a few drawbacks in the TV but overall considering the price factor, it is the best value for money product among all three we are comparing here. Kodak smart TV is decent, but not stand to the competitors. So I would not recommend Xiaomi MI TV 4 over the Kodak.

If we keep aside the price factor and you are willing to spend more, VU smart TV is a great option. No doubt it is slightly powerful over the Xiaomi smart TV whether we talk about multitasking, gaming, video and audio quality. But there is a price difference that too of Rs 15000. If I have to choose one for me, I would surely go for the Xiaomi Mi smart TV 4 and will invest the leftover in some other technology. So be a wise buyer and choose the right one for yourself and your relatives.
