Tech Posts How To Backup Your Airtel Phone Contacts Photos Videos for Indian Users December 20, 20168003 views0 Share By IG Share Airtel has quietly introduced a new feature in their “My Airtel” Android app. With the release of version 4.1.3 on the Google Play store, Airtel now provides 2 GB of free cloud storage. You can use this to backup your contacts, messages, photos, documents, and videos. You would need to enable mobile data between 1 AM to 5 AM to ensure data sync. You will NOT be charged for data usage for using this service which is a good thing. Read on to know more about how to backup your Airtel phone data. How To Backup Your Airtel Phone Data on Android If you have not yet downloaded the “MyAirtel” app yet, go ahead and download it first. Install the app and follow the on-screen instructions to log in with your Airtel number. Once you are logged in and ready, follow the steps below to complete the setup. Step 1: Tap on the option which says “Introducing Airtel Backup.” Step 2: Tap on the option which says “Try it Now.” Step 3:  On the next screen, it will prompt you to keep the mobile data on between 1-5 AM for data sync. If you usually keep your phone data on, just tap anywhere else on the screen to ignore this message. Step 4: In this step, select only the items which you need to backup. For example, in our case, we are just backing up Call history, Contacts, Documents, and messages. If you have an extensive collection of photos and videos, it is better to uncheck these items. Else, you will run out of your 2 GB space in no time. Step 5: You are all set. You can go to the settings and review your backups in case you want to customize it. You will get two options under settings. They are as follows: Storage Management: Shows you a summary of cloud space used by individual backup types (Contacts, Call Records, etc.) Enable Backup: Allows you to change and toggle your backup sets.
