Lenovo has been one of the most popular manufacturers in the South East Asian market, and the Lenovo Z5S is one of the prominent devices so far in 2019. Equipped with the latest Snapdragon 710 processor, it has been an excellent option to go with.
The triple camera is what makes it a great choice by every standard. The smartphone is almost equivalent to the Lenovo Z5. The front is dominated with the screen which measures 6.3 inches, but with the thin bezels, you will find it equal in total size to the other 5.5 or 5.7 inch smartphones. The rear has a great look with a gradient plastic appearance. The rounded frame will make it utterly premium in its looks.
The 6.3-inch screen offers you a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and a pixel density of 409 PPI. The sunlight legibility and brightness provided by the screen are quite good enough. The aspect ratio provided by the screen reads 19.5:9 in tune with most of the current breed of smartphones. Automatic brightness good enough, but the automatic brightness control does not work as expected. The color reproduction is reliable enough.
The Lenovo Z5S is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710. The Octa-core processor provides you with the best in class performance. We kept using the phone for a few weeks and found it efficient enough with the day to day tasks. There were no hangs, sloppiness and other issues. The GPU performance is at par with most of the high-end devices. Even the resource hungry applications and games should run efficiently with the device. The smartphone comes with two options of internal storage. You can go with either 64 GB or 128 GB options and a RAM capacity of either 4 GB and 6 GB. The dual SIM device offers you an expandable storage option of up to 256 GB.
The Lenovo Z5S runs on the proprietary ZUI. It runs on ZUI 10 based on Android 9.0 Pie. It has not been a favored customization option though. The system settings can be a concern for basic users. There are several hidden settings you may not be comfortable with. However, if you are someone who has used the Lenovo smartphone over the years, you may already be aware of the interface.
The Lenovo Z5S comes with a triple camera. You have the dual camera configuration of a 16 MP and 8 MP configuration. The 16 MP primary camera has an aperture of f/1.8, and the secondary camera features an aperture of f/2.4. There is the third camera of 5 MP resolution for depth sensor with the same f/2.4 aperture. The optical image stabilization involves AI implementation. The daylight images shot on the camera are impressive with the right amount of details and color accuracy. However, the same cannot be said about the low light shots. The videos can be shot in 4K at 30 fps. You also have the options of shooting HD videos in 1080p at 30 and 60 fps. The Pro mode lets you shoot in RAW format.
The battery on the phone has a rated capacity of 3350 mAh. Also, you also have access to fast charging. The video loop tests have shown a backup of 12 hours. That should be enough to provide you with a standard backup of around a day or even a little more.
Lenovo S5 Pro GT shares its specifications with the S5 Pro. It comes with a screen size of 6.2 inches and provides you access to the full HD+ specifications. You have access to a resolution of 2246 x 1080 pixels. The pixel density speaks well of itself at 402 PPI.
You have two cameras on the front and two on the rear. On the back, you have access to a combination of 12 and 20 MP sensors. For those selfie fans, Lenovo has introduced a 20 MP primary and an 8 MP secondary sensor. Both the cameras have the AI enabled features. The camera comes with the the latest functionalities like phase detection.
The phone runs on ZUI based on Android Oreo 8.1. Once again, the ZUI skin may not be something you will be comfortable with – unless you had used the Lenovo devices before and got used to it. You will not find any of the issues with the normal operations of the phone. We did not see any with the regular functions that we threw at it.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor powers the smartphone. The Octa-core processor provides you a peak clock speed of 2.2 GHz. The internal storage on your device reads 128 GB and can further be expanded by another 256 GB with a microSD card. The 6 GB RAM capability should make it an excellent choice for handling most of the tasks you throw at it.
The smartphone offers you access to the battery backup of 3500 mAh, which may be a little on the lower side when compared to the new age devices that offer battery performance ranging across 5000 mAh.
If you have checked the reviews as outlined in the above discussion, it is high time you will need to check the side by side comparison of the two siblings. This type of head-on comparison can be helpful enough in making the right choice for all your exact requirements.
Well, both devices come with almost similar features and functions. Of course, there are a few minor differences between the two. Both the devices come with a waterdrop notch and other additional functionalities. Choosing one over the other may not be as easy as such.
Even in terms of camera functionality, both these devices come with specific features that are unique to them. The Lenovo Z5S offers you a triple camera on the rear, while the Lenovo S5 Pro GT sports a quad camera setup with a dual camera on the back and a dual camera setup on the front. The camera performance of the two cameras is impressive enough.
That was a complete comparison between the two smartphones from Lenovo. We do not think the two smartphones differ in any manner from one another. Of course, they have their features and functions that are unique to them.
We assume that the reviews of either of the smartphones as listed in the above comparison and the side by side comparison chart should provide you with a proper update into what you can expect from each of these smartphones. Check out the two competing siblings and choose the one that best meets your requirements.
