Configuring Emails on Client Applications have become much more comfortable than it used to be. All you have to do is select the appropriate provider and enter your credentials. However, in case of configuring Exchange emails on the Microsoft Outlook Android client can still be a bit tricky and sometimes a manual process. In this post, I am going to talk about how to Configure Exchange Mails in Outlook for Android.

Step 1: Add an “Email Account”
Step 2: Select “Exchange”
Step 3: Tap on the Option “Show Advanced Settings”
Type your Full Email Address, i.e., name@Mail.com
Type the Domain Name, For example, Microsoft.com or Contoso.com
Type the Username in DomainUsername, For Example, contosouser1
Type your Password
Optionally, Enter a Description (Does not affect the Server Configuration)
Tap the Tick on the Top Right Hand Side and wait for your Inbox to Fully Synchronise with the Exchange Server.
This method is only applicable for Configuring the Outlook App in Android to talk to an Exchange Server. Other ways are pretty straightforward, an exception being the custom IMAP or POP3 based mail services which I will talk about in a different blog post.
