Best EATX Cases For Mid & Full Tower PC Builds and Tampered Glass

Best EATX Cases

In this post, we have listed out some of the best EATX Cases For Mid & Full Tower PC Builds. Tampered Glass on large cases with RGB lights is in fashion, and we have plenty of them available on the market today. So what is an Extended ATX? They are just like ATX, but a little bigger than a standard ATX case, precisely like a micro-ATX form-factor is smaller than an ATX motherboard. However, the other way around does not work. So, you will not be able to put an E-ATX board in an ATX case. Just like you will not stick an ATX board in an m-ATX case.

Note: If you buy something from our links, we might earn a commission. See our disclosure statement.

Since you have landed on this page, we are assuming that you are you looking for a case for your custom PC build. E-ATX cases is an excellent choice if you are not tight on budget. The type of case depends on what kind of motherboard you are going for. Technically, there is no inherent advantage of using an E-ATX motherboard over an ATX one [or one with any other form factor]. It is because both are offering the same set of features. The exception to this rule is server builds. However, you will have to buy your case according to what form factor you are choosing.

The good news is that most of the E-ATX cases are universal. Simply put, they support not only E-ATX form factors but also other form factors, including micro ATX, m-ATX, mini-ITX, etc. Thus, if you are on a planned motherboard upgrade, you can go for any motherboard of your choice without worrying about the form factor if you own an E-ATX case.

Any current product from other manufacturers does not match the dual 5.25″ drive bays. All fan spots came with additional filters to keep out the dust. If you want quietness over performance, then there are included noise dampening panels for the top. It makes the Rosewill Blackhawk-Ultra a great choice in its class. Top-mounted USB 3.0 connectivity and HDD docking add additional flexibility in connecting external devices.

Matching Features of a Case to MotherBoard can become more tedious than expected, especially when the slightest of details matter. You can do your online research, but, once built, hits & misses become more apparent.

What We Like:

  • Quality, well thought out Well Built Design
  • USB 3.0 Ports using 20 Pin Internal MotherBoard Headers
  • USB 2.0 Ports using Dual internal 10 Pin MotherBoard Headers on Top Front
  • Internal Drives mount Perpendicular to Case for Side-wise removal
  • Internal Drive Racks can hold two Drives each – Each Internal Drive Rack can be Removed or Rotated
  • Top Mounted Drive Dock; Bottom Mounted PSU; Right Side Fan Mount for thin Fan over the backside of CPU
  • Ability to Top Mount a water cooling solution like the Corsair H100 Cooler.
  • Includes internal SSD Rack; Velcro Hold Down for PSU
  • Black inside & out with plenty of Blue LED Fans.
  • Motherboard standoffs are pre-mounted, impressive!

What We don’t like:

  • A Heavy chassis, if you move it now and then
  • External 5.25 inch Front Drive Bays.
  • The Front pops off too quickly if moved. Not fond of internal Drive tray mounts. However, they are better than some we’ve seen.
  • Prefer Side-Rails as used in Rosewill Ranger Case.
  • Beside MotherBoard mount – Middle grommet cutout should be elongated by 1 inch for SATA Cables as related to ASUS MB used.

5. NZXT Phantom:

Check On Amazon Check On Newegg

Phantom Full Tower Chassis from NZXT presents the cutting edge case for the enthusiast market. We found the design to be sleek with natural contours. The Phantom delivers high-performance air-cooling advantages with a total of seven cooling fan options. It also comes with dual radiator support and a quad water-cooling cutouts. Out of the box, the case comes with five 20W per channel fan controls and an innovative 5.25″ screwless system. It has roomier space on the inside, which can encompass seven hard drives, and five 5.25″ bays enable smoother customization.

  • Immense Performance: 7 fan capability (Front fan 1x140mm, Top 2x200mm fan, Side 1x200mm and 2x120mm, rear 1x120mm)
  • Maximum Compatibility: Large Heat sinks, Graphics card support 350mm, and E-ATX support
  • Large Expandability: Space for seven hard drives and five 5.25 bays
  • Five 20W per Channel fan control totaling 100W
  • Cooling Sytems: Front 1x140mm, Side 1x200mm, 2x120mm (included), Rear 1x120mm (included), Top 2x200mm (1xBlue Led 200mm included)

We like this case, a lot! It is possibly one of the exceptional PC cases we’ve ever come across. We highly recommend the Red option.  You should go with this case for your build, essentially for its size and the number of fans that it comes with it, along with the excellent looking design.

What We Like:

Instructions – Now It’s not frequently that someone reads the instructions. But if it’s your first time or even a casual PC builder, directions can be quite helpful. We’ve never had a case in which the guidance laid out everything so flawlessly. The specified manual installation for every single part, including which screws to use, where, every other little detail.

  • Labels: The case comes with multiple little bags that were labeled with every screw type, meant for every component. On top of that, the instructions quickly understood where to use what.
  • Build-Quality – The case is built beautifully, and it includes various locations for fans with high airflow. The case doesn’t come entirely loaded with every single fan. There are a few points, which are picky about which fan to use.
  • Looks – This case is just plain neat. Primarily, with all the LED blue-lit fans, if you purchase the extras, it looks beautiful.
  • Performance – Keeps all the parts inside precise and neat, even with them all being overclocked.

What We Don’t Like:

  • It does not come with all the chassis fans.  Many cases do come fully loaded
  • Limited hard drive space, compared to towers like the Rosewill Ranger. If you intend to use more than six HDD’s or Blu-Ray drives, don’t get this one.
  • No Viewing port – There is no real clear line of sight to see any of the parts inside if this is a quintessential aspect to you.
  • The top 200mm mounts will ONLY accept NZXT fans. You can easily overlook it in case if you already have fans you plan to use, the odds are that they won’t fit the spot.

We recommend this case to anyone looking for an affordable, cool, (Cool looking too) and quality built Full ATX tower. For the price, I’ve been nothing but satisfied with my purchase and after having built it, would not change my mind at all

6. SilverStone Raven RV03B-W:

Check On Amazon Check On Newegg

We think this case to be adequate, if not great. There is enough room for three 3.5″ HDD’s or SSD’s and two 2.5″ HDD’s or SSD’s. It comes with three fans at the bottom to ensure adequate cooling. In most cases, you probably will not need to repurchase another fan. However, we found the fan wires are too short of reaching the fan header on to the motherboard. You might as well have to remove the fans, which is an easy task.  However, the hard part is putting the fans back in, without damaging the fans. It can take extra hours to set it all up. The Metal holds the GPU enclosure down blocks the ports that are welded to the chassis. The major problem that we faced was with cable management. But it should be avoided if you get the ‘windowed job’ version of this case or else route the wires to where they won’t touch anything. Other than that the case is fantastic! The top makes it look professional and intimidating! Excellent cooling and we love the 90-degree turn on the motherboard!

Product Highlights:

  • Revolutionary 90 degree motherboard mounting
  • Includes two Air Penetrator 180mm fans for superb performance and quietness
  • Supports Extended ATX motherboard
  • Support up to seven 120mm fans for exceptional cooling flexibility
  • Motherboard back plate opening behind the CPU area for quick cooler assembly
  • Includes two Air Penetrator 180mm fans for superb performance and quietness
Here are some of the pros & cons of the case:

What We Like:

  • Very Nice and will go entirely to almost any gamer’s desk.
  • It matches with red and black setups.
  • Multiple USB port options. (Check your motherboard)
  • Accessible and very easy to set up
  • Product longevity should be significant due to metal and sting build and structure quality
  • Come with dust filter! (Extremely Helpful!)

What We Don’t Like:

  • Poor cable management
  • Big & chunky. It will not fit on all desks
  • Small modding is required to make everything work in this case
  • In case if you want to plug in something, you will have to remove the top panel.  It is better to leave the screws off so that it can slide right off, instantly.

In case if you are building a server and using a SuperMicro Motherboard, we recommend getting a SuperMicro case. You cannot get around the uniformity of system building when everything is superintended to work together. The tool-less drive installation is great, and the cases always ensure that they are adequately cooled.

The attentiveness to details, in this case, are too many to quote. If you need more than four drives, step into SuperMicro’s rackmount enclosures. For small office installations, it is the only way to go when using an ATX or eATX motherboards.

The availability of space in this case, for instance, is so incredible, that there’s room for anything we can think of. If you plan to use it with an ATX motherboard, it will make it even roomier! It’s astounding, not to mention the availability of front USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports. The power button is awkwardly placed on the right-hand side, next to the USB 2.0 ports. Even at a steep price, this happens to be an excellent full-tower case.
