Tech PostsMake Photo Collages YouTube Banners Social Media Banner with FotoJet November 4, 20163307 views0Share By IG ShareFotoJet (www.fotojet.com) is a cloud-based online photo editing tool targeted at basic users to get creative with their photos. FotoJet provides easy to use tools to create photo collages, banner designing, and photo editing. Photo editing software is a crowded market. Even though there are a lot of Apps out there with similar functionalities, FotoJet really stands out with great features. Thanks to the FotoJet staff, we got access to the full version of their online web application. As a matter of fact, we did use FotoJet to create the featured image of this post if you see above. If you are someone who takes a lot of photos, then you should definitely have a go with FotoJet. In this post, we talk more about how to create a social Media Banner with FotoJet amongst others.Note: If you buy something from our links, we might earn a commission. See our disclosure statement.YouTube & Social Media Banner with FotoJetCurrently, the only way to use FotoJet is through their website. When I tried to access their mobile site using my Xiaomi Mi Max, I received a coming soon message. See below:Based on their advice, We started using their website instead to create some unique content and let our creative juices flow. We were instantly greeted with a great looking HTML 5 based website. The web layout is crisp and clear and users will instantly know what this website is all about. Since we wanted to create a social banner for our FaceBook page, we started by clicking on “Create a Design“. Under design, we went to the “social media header” sub-menu option. See the screenshots below: Select Design Select “FaceBook Cover”Once you select the “Social Media Header” option, the web app will take you to the design section. This is where all the magic happens. Steps to create our sample FaceBook Header ImageHere are the steps that we followed to create a sample FaceBook header image.Select a suitable template. We removed the stock image with an image from our personal collection.Second, we changed the Text on the image.Added the “FaceofIT” logo on the right-hand side.Added a clipart text at the bottom of the image from the available list.See the output belowhttps://www.faceofit.comIn under 3 minutes, we were able to create a cool Facebook header image. The user friendliness is impressive and we are confident that most users would be able to create awesome images with minimal supervision and support. In the next step, we gave “Instagram Post” a shot. We created the following sample and it looks beautiful.FotoJet Instagram SampleHere are the steps that we used to create the Instagram post.Selected a suitable template.Removed the stock background image and replaced it with a picture I took in Singapore.Added Text clipart on the right-hand bottomAdded clipart’s to replace texts and make it look like a letter. All in all, it took 2 minutes to make this image. When you try to save the image from the top menu, the web application automatically stores the images in 1080 px by 1080 px format which are suitable for Instagram posts. Now, Instagram does not allow you to post pictures directly from your desktop PC. You can use an Android emulator but that’s not the point. You either have to copy the image manually to your phone or post it to Imgur or Google Drive first. That might be resolved once we have the mobile apps from FotoJet, so fingers crossed. Finally, we give the image editing tools a shot. The photo editing tools are brand new and we tried to use an image from our collection. See belowFotoJet Image Edit SampleThe image sample that we used was already very well shot. There was little room for editing but we tried to edit it anyways. Here are the edits that we did to the image.Auto-Enhanced the sample.Adjusted Exposure.Minor adjustments to Highlights and Shadows.A Vignette effect as a final touch. We felt that the image editing tools could have been better as per our expectations. However, we strongly feel that for most users, this will do the job just fine.Pricing and ConclusionFotoJet comes with both a free and a paid tier. The paid option is based on a subscription based model billed monthly. If you buy it for a year, you save 40% of the cost. The basic tier comes with limited templates and no Ads. The paid version comes with hundreds of templates and clipart images to choose from. We’ll have to admit that the tools are very nice and addictive to use. Bloggers like us will particularly find it useful to create and maintain a strong and creative social presence. Here is the price list extract from their website.Overall, we would highly recommend this to anyone who likes to get creative with their photos. The website is responsive and we did not find any delay with image processing. If you want to get started, head over to their website www.fotojet.com. We hope that you will have fun to edit your images like we did! Affiliate Disclosure: Faceofit.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program.
