JioFi USB Tethering via. USB Cable
Once you have configured your JioFi device for the internet, you can straightaway connect it to your PC as well. We tested the device with a Lenovo Ultrabook loaded with Windows 10. Once the device is connected to the PC using a USB cable, we were able to access the internet straight away. The icon on the bottom right-hand corner of your Windows PC taskbar will change to USB-connected internet connection and that’s all you need to do. See the screenshots below for your reference:

When you log in, into the Admin panel from the Web UI by accessing “http://jiofi.local.html/index.htm,” you will see that both the USB and the WiFi clients are being serviced by JioFi simultaneously. See below:
The last device in the list above is the USB connected device, while the first and second devices are WiFi-connected clients. Do note that you can only connect 1 USB client for the internet access at a time, while the rest needs to connect via. WiFi.

in my window 7 laptop USB Tethering is not working, in fact device is not getting detected, do i have to install any drivers/ software in my PC?
We could not locate any driver availability on the Jio Website. Did you try any other USB ports on your PC? Is it detected in device manager?

In Windows 7, if there is a legit driver available, it should automatically detect and download it, provided you are already connected to the internet.

Windows XP currently does not detect the device. Unfortunately, Drivers are not available either.
