So, the Z590 chipset equipped with Rocket Lake processors presently supports tailored memory ratios amongst the DRAM data rates and the memory controller. Intel’s capability of the memory controller in a 1:1 gear ratio can differ due to the ambient cooling techniques. Every Intel’s silicon chip cannot handle such high frequencies. Therefore, the gear ratio proves to be advantageous. It reduces the burden on the memory controller and supports high frequencies. G.Skill makes the most of the gear ratio with its latest memory kits up to DDR4-5333. Check on Amazon These latest G.Skill memory kits are made up for Intel’s Z590 (with Rocket Lake), beginning from DDR4-4266 (it has CL19 ratings). The two supported capacities are -dual-channel 32 GB (2×16) and 64 GB (2×32) kits. The memory kits are also available for the DDR4-4400 kits having CL17 and CL18 ratings. In the 16 GB and 32 GB kits, the operating voltage is 1.5V. Above in the range, one kit of DDR4-4600 has CL20, and the total capacity is 64 GB (2 x 32 GB). There are 3 variants of DDR4-4800. They are respectively CL17 and CL18 having 2 x 8 GB kits, and the CL20 having 2 x 16 GB capacity. In DDR4-5066, there is a 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) kit equipped with CL19 latency, and its operating voltage is 1.6 V. One kit getting an A on DDR4-5333 and CL21 latencies; it comes with 2 x 8 GB memory kits. Also, G.Skill mentioned that the DDR4-4800 CL17 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) kit is equipped with the Samsung B-die memory chips. However, it is not mentioned if this was the case over its range. While writing, G.Skill has not provided us with pricing info. However, these memory kits are anticipated to be launched in Q2 2021. Since the memory prices inflate all through the year, these memory kits would not be cheap, perhaps. The G.Skill Trident Z RGB and Trident Z Royal will perhaps be present at the soaring end of the pricing range. The Ripjaw Z series will be at the lowest point due to its lowest price. An excellent alternative to this would be the Patriot Viper Steel Performance memory kit running at 4400 MHz. Check on Amazon It comes with a base frequency of PC4-17000 (2133MHz); Up to PC4-35200 (4400MHz) plus XMP 2.0 enabled. The manufacturer claimed tested timings of 19-19-19-39, which is close to what G-Skill is offering. Conclusion: We can expect to see more Z590 optimized memory kits for optimal memory performance and low latencies. Do check out their blog post for more information.
