In Windows 10, Microsoft has developed the new action center where you can find all your app notifications, as well as quick actions and access to commonly used user settings and apps. The good thing however is that you can change your action center settings at any time from the Settings app. In this post, I am going to talk about how to manage app notifications in Windows 10.
Just like Apps on Android and ios, Windows Apps sends app notifications on Windows 10. The App notifications goes to the Action Center which should be fine for most users. However some marketing and E-Commerce apps send Ad’s as app notifications and desktop alerts which could annoy both Business and End users. Here is what you can do.
Steps to Turn Off APP notifications:
In the search box, Type “settings“ then select the Settings app.
Click to go to System > Notifications & actions.
Do any of the following:
- Turn notifications on or off for some or all apps.
- Choose whether to see notification banners when a notification arrives.
- Choose the quick actions you’ll see in Action Centre.
You can also selectively choose which App can send notifications and un-check the ones that you do not want to send notifications.
As you can see, Windows gives you lot’s of option to tweak the settings based on user preferences. Hope this was helpful.
