Thinkpad at this price point is new. You can occasionally buy a refurbished one, but not a new one. It falls in a crowded category where competition is intense. However, picking up the [eafl id=107 name=”Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E555″ text=”Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E555″] is not a difficult task. The Thinkpad is a powerful brand and when you use that name on any laptop, you have some expectations out of it. Thinkpads are known for ruggedness and a metal frame to ensure that the laptop survives the most extreme conditions. However in case of the ThinkPad Edge E555, it is a different story. Plastic built quality and average specs does not make it a high performing laptop. But at this price, getting a laptop with Thinkpad branding is a big plus.
