Conclusion

As much as IR blasters are useful in smartphones for their integration capabilities with external appliances, the feature is not widely available. Many 3rd parties make a 3.5 mm headphone jack compatible with IR blasters. However, the companion software is not up to the mark. Samsung did not release any smartphones recently with an IR integration. Hopefully, in the future, there would require wider acceptance of this feature.
