Microsoft Excel is the largest Data Analytics tool on the planet. There are no real competitors for this tool and the ones that exist are just alternatives. That being said, a special mention for Google Sheets which have evolved over the years to become a worthy competitor. With features, such as real-time collaboration, cloud-enabled setup less deployment are some of its strongest points. Microsoft Power Map is an Excel based Add-In which provides a three-dimensional (3-D) data visualization tool that allows you to do deeper data insights. Using power map you can do insights which might not been seen in traditional two-dimensional (2-D) tables and charts.
You need to have a subscription for Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus, and excel installed. Power Map for Excel is a part of the self-service business intelligence tools from Microsoft. Whenever any new Power Map features and performance enhancements are released, you’ll get them as part of your O365 subscription plan.

For users who have Excel 2013, they need to download and install the Excel Power Map from the Microsoft website. For Excel 2016 users, Power-Map is already pre-installed as 3D maps.
